Mars (who hopefully won’t be too upset at being classified as a ‘character’) contains shots of Clive’s winning entry to the 2006 Zelli Fine Porcelain award, a stunning and amazingly detailed depiction of Mars, the God of War, slumped, spent, atop an exhausted horse surrounded by rubble. After winning Zelli Clive was approached by a German porcelain company who commissioned a second piece for their private collection. This one was not constrained by the dimensions of the competition rules and it’s quite different as a result.

Batman featured large in Clive’s childhood and this shows no signs of abating. In here we have Batman vs. The Hoover, Batman Relaxing After a Hard Day and Batgirl. Look closely at Batgirl and then look at the portraits of Clive’s daughter Azrael in the portraits gallery and see if you can spot a resemblance in one. As Clive’s Batman collection grows, more photos will be added.

Gargoyles & heads A series of beautifully hideous gargoyles and fantasy heads. In here amongst others reside Beowulf and Grendel before they fell out, and the frumious Bandersnatch from Jabberwocky. (And you’ll find the skull of its friend the Jubjub bird in the imaginary beasts gallery).

Pilots & Pirates contains shots of two sets of busts numbering nine in total. Four pirates (two by Clive and two from Lindsay West) make up one set. The five pilots of the other set are all by Clive except Audrey by Lindsay. They are glazed and fired clay (and there’s a raw plaster impression of one as well).
